Leadership update: new chapter for Baltijos Lizdas

Dec 1, 2025

This autumn marks an important milestone for Baltijos Lizdas as the organisation continues to grow and mature. At the beginning of September, Agnė Rakštytė transitioned from her role as Executive Director to become the Chairperson of the Board, and Teresė Škutaitė joined our team as the new Executive Director.

Teresė brings a strong track-record in public affairs and innovation leadership, having worked in Lithuania’s innovation ecosystem (including leadership at the GreenTech Hub) and as a professional speaker and lecturer on circular economy and innovation policy.

The establishment of a formal Board is a natural step in Baltijos Lizdas’ evolution—reflecting both our organisational growth and strengthened governance. The three-member Board brings together Agnė Rakštytė, and the co-founders of Our Common Home (OCH), Scott Langdon and Natalia Węgrzyn, ensuring continued alignment and close cooperation with the global OCH network.

Scott has a long history of strategic campaigning and leadership on environmental and energy-security issues. Prior to founding Our Common Home, he led campaign strategy and communications, including work in British politics and for the organisation Purpose PBC.

Natalia is a seasoned expert in strategy, partnerships and communications in the NGO field (with prior experience at organisations such as Amnesty International and the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights), and in 2021 co-founded Our Common Home. She currently leads her own think-tank which explores the intersection of populism and climate policy.

Since September, Teresė is fully on board and has already guided the team through the first months of new project planning and strategic development. “It’s an exciting moment for Baltijos Lizdas—we’re building on a strong foundation while preparing for the next phase of impact across the Baltic region,” she said.

With a renewed governance structure and new leadership in place, Baltijos Lizdas is entering its next stage of growth—continuing to advance community-driven initiatives and regional partnerships that strengthen energy security and local resilience.
